IWSAW is working in partnership with the LAU Libraries to ensure that the LAU community has access to a full range of resources on gender issues and women’s studies.
The libraries — Beirut, Byblos, and New York — have over 11,000 titles on various aspects of gender issues in all forms (print books, print journals, films, videos, CDs, DVDs, kits and others), over 250 scholarly journals in electronic format, and approximately 5,500 e-Books.
This collection covers thematic areas such as literature, arts, business, economics, health, religion, and more. IWSAW resources and information are also available in the libraries — including conference documents, reports, and publications from national and international organizations, such as statistics, guides, and manuals, in addition to factual and historical information on women in the Arab world and beyond.
This collection is mainly available in the Riyad Nassar Library on the Beirut campus, but selected resources can also be found in the other LAU libraries.
The LAU New York Library also includes a wide collection of women’s studies resources covering topics such as: women in Islam, women in the Arab world, Arab women in literature, etc.
